Hi, my name is Duane. I live in Iowa. I have metastatic kidney cancer, coronary artery disease and arteriosclerosis.

“Medicare” Mark called me about 6 months before I needed to buy a supplemental insurance for Medicare. Normally I don’t give phone salespersons a lot of time, but Mark was different. He gave me a lot of knowledge in this area, something I really needed.

My family advised me against buying a Medicare Supplement over the phone from someone I had never met and although I was very apprehensive, I bought the policy Mark advised and have been surprised at how well it has worked for me.

Long story short: my premiums were $30-$40 lower than many other companies and in the first year I made a lot of claims that were covered without question. After about 6-8 months, I received a letter from the IAC people and I’m thinking Premium Increase but my premium actually went down $3 a month. What’s not to like about that?

Dear Mark,

When I was close to turning 65, I began to pay attention to TV commercials stating things like: “Don’t get caught with a GAP in your coverage and pay lots of $$$ out of pocket expenses” …. “Medicare doesn’t cover everything.” I struggled to try to figure out what to do for health coverage. I was confused and didn’t have anybody who could explain the different options so I could understand.

I met Medicare Mark at his seminar. After his presentation, I felt I learned so much and liked the way Mark presented the information. It was clear and concise, much easier to understand. He found a great plan with better coverage than I had and at a lower premium. I haven’t had to worry about unexpected medical bills or had to pay out of my pocket when I use doctors or go to the hospital.

Mark calls me regularly to keep in touch, see if I have any questions and if there is anything he can assist me with. I feel good about my health coverage and know that I am in good hands with Medicare Mark. I have referred family and friends to Mark and they have been happy with his service.

As someone who has had to secure an individual insurance policy for the last 4 years, I can honestly say it has been dreadful. Not only is it very expensive, but the myriad of choices and changes from year to year have been difficult and stressful.

As I approached 65 years of age and Medicare, I was overwhelmed and didn’t quite understand how Medicare worked. I was very fortunate to have been referred to David Lasman. He asked so many questions about my medical history and personal preferences, which I really appreciated because I knew with the right information he would be able to provide the best choices for me. His website videos explained Medicare in a way that was easy to understand. In addition, David was always available for my questions and concerns. Hi David,
Just a quick note of thanks. I was so overwhelmed when I first contacted you over the internet. I first heard of MEDICARE DAVE at a social security seminar I attended at UNF in Jacksonville, Florida. I don’t recall a single other nugget of valuable information from the class. But, sitting there on those hard wooden chairs for several painful hours was worth it!! You have bee the one constant I could count on during this last tumultuous year or two of my life! As a 40 year happy homemaker, to be suddenly divorced and put in charge of EVERY detail of my life was totally beyond my capabilities. Besides the depression was an overwhelming FEAR that I was screwing up my future solvency. Your calming manner and relaxed presence on the other end of the line was a Godsend! Turning 65 with no marketable business skills and facing seeking employment, selling a house, moving to another state, and generally starting over in so many ways was truly paralyzing. Your knowledge, patience and matter of fact way of answering questions (some I believe I might has asked several times) allayed my fears. When I failed to follow through, your gentle reminders and emails kept me on track. Thank goodness or I would have owed a fine!!

As far as the selection process, you willingly “dumbed it down” when I asked you to, though I surely took up considerably more of your time than other clients! During our several phone calls we discovered we not only had a mutual friend, but shared a passion for music as well. I now consider you a friend as well as a trusted and competent insurance advisor. I have recommended you to a few high school classmates also turning 65 and will continue to do so. Being able to connect with you via Facebook made that referral part much simpler. Who doesn’t want a new Facebook friend they can count on in a pinch? I have total confidence that when my needs change in the future you will be right there to guide me through this advanced age “club” I reluctantly but inexorably find myself a member of

I have gotten to know David Lasman very well over this past year. I am a wealth manager and have referred many of my clients his way. Whether they are soon approaching 65 or are already collecting Medicare he is a great resource. He can make sense out of an extremely confusing and cumbersome process. Medicare Dave is very caring and works so hard in helping people through the complicated Medicare system trying to find the right plan for them.  My parents, dad is 94, mom is 92 had been covered under Medicare Advantage since 65 years old and unfortunately turned out not to be the right plan once my dad needed a skilled nursing facility which Advantage did not cover.  My parents never knew that their plan did not cover many essential medical facilities.   Thanks to Medicare Dave,   my father switched over to Original Medicare and a wonderful supplemental and prescription plan. 

This process has been an eye opener for me and I have been in contact with Dave for all these months since my dad is now in Assisted Living.

Dave cares about his clients and does the right thing in helping any way he can.  He even came to my dad’s Skilled Nursing Facility to meet me and my mom for a face to face.

If you're like me, answering sales calls is not your favorite thing to do. Bur fortunately for me, "Medicare Mark" called at just the right time as I was starting to work my way through the complicated Medicare system. Boy is it a challenge!

The good news is Medicare Mark. Mark helped tremendously, explaining the system in simple terms and helping me understand how the coverages worked, which would serve me the best based on my health and finances. He ran numbers, took information and made several recommendations so I was able to choose. I as very happy with the result.

But if that wasn't enough, three months later as I approached my 65th birthday, he called just to check in and make sure I was all set, which I wasn't. So he pulled the detailed notes he took on my choices, etc., helped me get the final steps put in place and I am all set!

First of all, I want to thank you for being an informative Medicare Insurance agent and more. By more, I mean I really think of you as an excellent advisor, consultant, and guide though the process of comparative insurance selection and benefits, medical and prescription.

Look, I met you by telephone during that period of time before I was going to turn old enough and required by federal government to enroll in Medicare. Even now, I am often confused on timing, how things work, what options, and so on, that I might need in wading through it all. I remember I got a cold call from you during a period of time when Medicare insurance people were calling and writing day and night, even through mail. You were friendly on the phone right away. I remember I asked you to explain it all to me-Medicare is what, how do I enroll, how do I switch, what can I expect, what is plan G, what is whatchamacallit, whatever? You said, “Let me help. Get a sheet of paper, fold it in half.”—-And I did, having no idea about what was about to unfold that you provided to me by telephone, and that was the easy part. You then went on by that method-this information on one side, and this information on the other side-to outline to me about Medicare basic rules and functions. What really wowed me about you was your patience and your knowledge and communication skills. We talked about Medicare and plans on and off for months. You provided me with call-anytime, write-anytime contract, especially email. In the end, you provided me with information that allowed me to make an acceptable choice of a supplemental package, including prescription needs, that works for me. I’m happy. I have few complaints. When I get perplexed, you advise me. You keep me in the loop. I ask, “Have you seen an option better that fits my financial profile right now?” and then you tell me honestly and patiently what might be better. Then I decide because that part is on me not you.

The point is, if you ever need someone to say stuff like this to your future clients, please use me as a satisfied reference.

I did not realize how overwhelmed and stressful retirement and becoming age-eligible for Medicare would be. Once I began receiving a deluge of information re Medicare and the various Plans, I knew I had no clue what to do.

Also, I did not want most of my income after retirement to go toward medical expenses, et al. I had spoken with Dave and he eased my anxiety and has found me plans and insurance that I can afford, explaining the process and each plan throughout the process.
